AI Engineer (Construction Site DX)
AGG-J-021 · AI and software · In Japan
What you will do
Work with site managers on construction projects in Japan to find real problems on site, then solve them with AI. Listen to what site managers need, build a proof of concept (PoC), test it on a real site, improve it, and help roll it out to other sites. You then move on to the next problem, so this is continuous project work, not one fixed system. You also work with the client's IT team on how each system fits their setup.
You need
A bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, AI, data science, electronics, robotics, civil engineering or a related field (final-year students can apply if they graduate before starting). Good Python skills. Your own AI project in computer vision, machine learning or LLM/RAG, which you can show and explain, such as code, a thesis or a demo.
Helpful
Point clouds, drones, photogrammetry or sensors and IoT. Local LLMs. Daily use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code. Interest in construction. Construction experience is not required.
Language
Japanese: about JLPT N3 or higher
Who can apply
You can apply from Japan or from outside Japan. Every job is in Japan, so you must come to Japan to work, and the same Japanese requirement applies.
Employment
Dispatch via AGG (AGG employs you)
Work style
On-site in Japan, working at the client's site. You can apply from Japan or from overseas, including final-year students and new graduates. If you live overseas, you must come to Japan to work and need a Japanese work visa first, so your start date depends on the visa.
